Brad Stone heads Bloomberg's global tech operation, as senior executive editor. He joined Bloomberg Businessweek in August, 2010 as a senior writer covering technology. He has written over twenty cover stories on leading technology companies, including Apple, Google, Facebook, Amazon, Twitter and Yahoo, and profiles of business luminaries such as Google CEO Larry Page, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. He is also the author of the New York Times bestseller, "The Everything Store: Jeff Bezos and the Age of Amazon," published by Little, Brown & Co. in October of 2013. The book won the Business Book of the Year Award, presented by the Financial Times and Goldman Sachs.

Brad joined Businessweek from the New York Times, where he had been a reporter since December 2006. He covered Internet trends, as well as technology companies like Google, Amazon and Apple from the newspaper’s San Francisco bureau. In addition to writing for the paper, he regularly contributed to the Times’ technology blog, Bits and wrote a column, Ping, for the Sunday business section.

From 1998 to November 2006, Brad served as the Silicon Valley Correspondent for Newsweek magazine, writing for the technology and business sections of the magazine and authoring a regular online column. He is also the author of the 2003 book "Gearheads: the Turbulent Rise of Robotic Sports," published by Simon & Schuster.

Brad graduated from Columbia University in 1993 and is originally from Cleveland, Ohio. He is a twin and the father of twins.
